Our Chain of Custody

Chain of custody certification is the mechanism used to ensure the traceability of wood material from a certified forest to any point along on the supply chain. Chain of custody certification is required to substantiate any claim that wood and wood products are obtained from a certified forest. In essence, its providing a ‘birth certificate’ for the timber that can upon request be provided to the end consumer following its life from harvest to the mill, transportation, storage and end consumer..

Chain of custody ensures that forest-based materials produced according to our rigorous standards are credibly used from the forest to becoming finished goods. Achieving certification demonstrates that this system meets chain of custody requirements (FSC-STD-40-004 V3-1 Standard and PEFC ST 2002:2020) and has been audited by an independent certification body.
